Where we go, and what the trip costs
We are based in Sonoma Valley and work out across Sonoma County into Napa. Travel is a flat fee per visit, published below by zone, and three things waive it. Nothing here is calculated at the door.
Zones and towns
Santa Rosa is the one city that spans two zones — the south side is Zone 1 and the north side is Zone 2. If you are unsure which applies, give us the address.
| Zone | Travel per visit | Towns |
|---|---|---|
| No travel fee | — | Sonoma, Glen Ellen, Kenwood, Boyes Hot Springs, El Verano, Eldridge |
| Zone 1 | $45 | Petaluma, Penngrove, Schellville, Santa Rosa (south) |
| Zone 2 | $75 | Santa Rosa (north), Rohnert Park, Cotati, Napa |
| Zone 3 | $95 | Healdsburg, Windsor, Sebastopol, St. Helena, Yountville |
Outside these towns we quote custom rather than decline. Call with the address.
Three ways you pay no travel fee
You are in the free zone
Sonoma, Glen Ellen, Kenwood, Boyes Hot Springs, El Verano, and Eldridge never carry a travel line at all. Not waived — simply not charged.
You are on a recurring plan
Any recurring plan waives the travel fee on every visit, whatever the job size. Residential plans discount the work as well: 10% twice a year, 5% annually.
The job reaches $1500
Once the pre-discount subtotal reaches $1500, the travel fee comes off. Pre-discount means before any bundle or recurring discount is applied, so grouping surfaces gets you there sooner than the final number suggests.
City pages
What we actually run into in each place — the housing stock, the weather, and the problems that follow from both.
Sonoma
No travel fee
Sonoma is home. The valley floor from Schellville up through Glen Ellen and Kenwood is where most of our week is spent, which is the practical reason it carries no travel fee — we are already here.
Santa Rosa
$45 / $75
Santa Rosa is the largest city we serve and the most spread out, which is why it is the one place our travel zones split. South Santa Rosa is a shorter run from the valley than the north side, and the quote reflects that rather than averaging it.
Petaluma
$45
Petaluma gets more marine air than the valley does, and it shows on the north side of almost every house. The damp that comes up the Petaluma Gap is the reason algae and mildew are the two problems we are called about most often here.
Travel questions
- How is the travel fee calculated?
- It is a flat fee per visit based on which zone your address falls in, not a per-mile charge. It appears as its own line on the quote so you can see exactly what it is, and it is the same whether we are there for one surface or six.
- Why is Schellville not in the free zone when it is right next to Sonoma?
- Zone boundaries follow our actual routing, not the map. Schellville is Zone 1 at $45. We would rather publish that than quietly average it into everyone else's rate.
- What if my address is outside every zone listed?
- We still want to hear from you. Addresses outside these zones get a custom quote rather than an automatic decline — call with the address and the surfaces and we will tell you honestly whether the trip makes sense.
- Do you charge travel on commercial accounts?
- The same zone fees apply, but almost every commercial account runs a recurring plan, which waives travel outright on every visit. Property managers with several addresses in different zones should call rather than quote each one separately.
- Is there a minimum regardless of where I am?
- Yes. Every job carries a $225 service minimum, in every zone including the free one. The minimum and the travel fee are separate things.
Not sure which zone you are in?
Tell us the address and we will tell you before you commit to anything. The rate card covers everything else.
