Privacy Policy

Sonoma Wash Co. is an exterior cleaning company in Sonoma Valley, California. We collect what we need to quote a property, schedule a crew, and get paid. We do not sell personal information, and we have no advertising business to sell it to.

What we collect

When you request a quote. Your name, email address, phone number, the service address, and the property details you enter — square footage, surfaces, how dirty things are. The address and measurements are the quote; we cannot price a wash without them.

When you book. The same contact details plus the date and arrival window you pick, and anything you write in the notes field.

When you pay. Stripe collects and holds your card or bank details. We receive the amount, the date, the last four digits, and whether it succeeded. We never see or store a full card number.

When you create an account. Your email address and a password, held by Clerk. We see the email address, not the password.

When you subscribe to the newsletter. Your email address, and nothing else.

When you call us. Your phone number, and a written summary of what you asked for. Calls outside business hours may be answered by an automated assistant that takes a message in writing so we can call you back.

When you read the site. Analytics cookies record which pages you visited, roughly where you are, and what referred you. This is counted in aggregate; it is not matched to your name.

What we do with it

Price the work, schedule it, do it, invoice it, and follow up on it. Quote and job records are also what lets us tell you what we did to your siding three years from now, which matters more often than you would think.

We email you about your own quote, booking, and invoice whether or not you subscribed — that is the transaction, not marketing. Marketing email only goes to people who asked for it, and every one of those has an unsubscribe link that works immediately.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with anyone except the processors listed below and, if it ever came to it, in response to a lawful court order.

Who processes it

We run on other companies’ infrastructure. Each one below handles some of your information in order to do its job, and each is bound by its own agreement with us to use it only for that purpose.

  • Vercel — Hosts the site and keeps short-lived request logs that include IP addresses.
  • Neon — The Postgres database where quotes, jobs, and invoices are stored.
  • Clerk — Runs sign-in for customer accounts and stores your login credentials.
  • Stripe — Processes card and bank payments. Card numbers go to Stripe, never to us.
  • Cal.com — Holds the booking calendar and the details you enter when you book.
  • Listmonk and Mautic — Send the newsletter and quote follow-up email.
  • Google Analytics 4 and Ahrefs Web Analytics — Measure which pages people read. Both set cookies.

How long we keep it

Quote, job, and invoice records are kept for seven years, because tax and warranty questions arrive on that timescale. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data expires on its providers’ own schedules, which are shorter. Request records for work we never performed are kept two years and then deleted.

Cookies

Two kinds. The ones that keep you signed in and keep a form from losing its contents are required for the site to work. The analytics ones are not — Google Analytics and Ahrefs Web Analytics both set cookies to count visits. Your browser can block either category, and blocking the analytics ones costs you nothing on this site.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call (707) 309-0800 or send the request through support. We answer within thirty days.

Deletion has one limit worth stating plainly: we cannot delete an invoice we are required to keep for tax purposes, and we will not delete the record of work performed on a property while any warranty on it is still live. Everything else goes.

Children

This is a service for property owners. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13, and we have no reason to.

Changes

When this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. If a change materially affects what we do with information we already hold, we will email the people it affects rather than rely on you noticing a date.
